Paediatric Services

St Andrew’s Private Hospital’s team of highly experienced paediatricians, paediatric nursing team combined with the hospital’s modern facilities makes for a first class paediatric service. Together our team treats young patients (aged from birth through to 16 years of age) suffering from a wide range of medical conditions. Paediatric patients also have access to elective general surgery, orthopaedic surgery and Ear, Nose & Throat Surgery. The hospital’s Paediatric wing features modern and comfortable private rooms designed to accommodate a sick child and accompanying parent or carer, for an overnight stay in hospital. Parents are encouraged to stay with their child during their hospitalization and a full length ottoman is provided in each room. The Paediatric wing also boasts a children’s assessment room, indoor play area equipped with wall mounted ipads and interactive games console table. The wing is run by highly experienced paediatric nursing team and is serviced by Ipswich’s private Paediatric Specialists who are also on call should a paediatric emergency arise after hours or present through the St Andrews Emergency Department.
