Multimillion Development Announced for St Andrew’s Ipswich Private Hospital

St Andrew’s Ipswich Private Hospital is set to embark on the largest development in the hospital’s 107 year history. Owners Ramsay Health Care approved a $64 million dollar investment in the facility last week, ensuring that Ipswich patients have adequate and timely access to private health care services into the future.

The new development will see the opening of the first private Emergency Centre within the Ipswich and West Moreton Region. A new intensive care unit will support the Emergency Centre and expanding surgical services via the addition of two operating theatres, with an accompanying 81 new private patient rooms; increasing the capacity of the hospital from 97 to 178 total beds. The redevelopment will also see the inclusion of new maternity and rehabilitation wards.
