Infusion Centre Celebrates 1st Year of Operation

May 26, 2014

St Andrew’s Ipswich Private Hospital was delighted to welcome back past and current patients of their Infusion Centre; marking the centre’s one year of operation with an anniversary morning tea last Friday.

Ms Chris Went, CEO, gave special thanks to Ms Lauren Silcock and Ms Nicole Parkinson, two of the centre’s nurses who have been instrumental in the operation of the centre and the provision of quality services. Ms Went also thanked oncologists, Dr Paul Vasey and Dr Vikram Jain, who have supported the centre since it opened last year.

“St Andrew’s is proud to provide infusion and chemotherapy services to Ipswich and the surrounding community; enabling patients to receive care locally, so their lives aren’t impacted through travel whilst receiving treatment.”

Mayor Paul Pisalale and Councillor Andrew Antoniolli presented the centre with an anniversary plaque; marking one year of operation. Ms Deborah McCourt, the centre’s first patient, was invited to cut the anniversary cake which was followed by a round of applause from the centre’s patients and staff.

St Andrew’s Ipswich Hospital, owned by Ramsay Health Care, continues to grow to meet the needs of the Ipswich and West Moreton Region; increases in capacity and expansion are predicted for the coming years.
