Before Your Stay
Our pre-admission process is an important part of your hospital stay and we aim to make it as easy as possible to provide us with all the information we need to confirm your admission and finalise the terms of your stay.
We offer the convenience of online admission to enable you to provide your details at a time that suits you. You’ll need the following information handy when you fill in your form:
- Personal/Next of Kin details
- Medicare card number
- Funding details (eg. Private Health Insurance or self funding)
- Relevant item numbers if these were provided by your doctor’s rooms

If you have private health insurance it is important to check a few things with your insurer prior to your admission such as your level of cover, automatic cover for your new baby and any excesses required to be paid before admission. These questions are particularly important if you have been a member of your health fund for less than 12 months.
It is important to note that the confirmation of your private health fund details is your responsibility as a patient.
