St Andrew’s Ipswich Private Hospital Infusion Unit specialises in the care and support of patients requiring infusion and cytotoxic therapies: for chronic illness and cancer including: chemotherapy, haematological treatments, iron infusions, blood infusions and specialist drug infusions. Chemotherapy treatments and infusions are administered by our highly skilled, experienced nursing team working closely with your Doctor.
However the nature of care provided goes beyond purely the administration of infusions. Our staff are committed to looking after our patient’ emotional wellbeing and comfort, and recognise that is some cases treatment for oncology and haematology patients can be part of a long journey. Patients, family members and carers are treated as individuals in a highly personal, compassionate and caring manner.
The spacious 8 chair unit allows family & friends to accompany patients in a bright and relaxed atmosphere with the availability of watching television, listening to music or utilizing their own devices. The Unit operates from Monday to Friday and bookings are by specialist referral and appointment only.
The unit is fortunate to have a wonderful team of volunteers who serve drinks and lunch throughout the day to make patients stay more comfortable.
Free parking is available in the multistory carpark off Pring Street in the dedicated Renal/Infusion Unit Spaces.
