Services Overview

St Andrew’s is an acute general hospital specialising in numerous clinical services. Our surgical unit specialises in orthopaedic, ENT, urology, gynaecology, general surgery, oral and maxillo-facial. We provide full acute medical services, including cardiac and critical care with twenty four hour In-house Medical Officer cover. We also provide an After Hours Medical Service, overnight, weekends and public holidays to provide after hours support to the general practitioners and our local and regional community.

The hospital provides a complete obstetric service. Our maternity ward offers 23 beds, 3 birthing suites, and a nursery including Level 2 neonatal cots, for babies requiring special care.

Services offered cover antenatal classes for parents leading up to the birth, one-on-one midwifery care during and post labour, along with general education and specialised lactation assistance for new mothers. Our paediatric unit provides specialist medical and surgical care to infants and children, ensuring all family needs are met.

St Andrew’s Ipswich Private Hospital makes life easier for people who need to be admitted to hospital under specialist care and don't want to have to travel into Brisbane. Our visiting specialists charge minimal gap fees and by comparison, the cost of health care, provided in Ipswich, is much more affordable.

We make every effort to accommodate the special requests of all our patients during their hospital stay.
