Dr Jennie Gu is a General Surgeon with advanced training in Breast and Endocrine Surgery. Dr Gu returned to Brisbane 2023 to gain further experience in emergency and elective general surgery and endoscopy, as the Acute Surgical fellow in Ipswich Hospital, and has stayed on as a Consultant Breast, Endocrine and General Surgeon since 2024. Dr Gu has an appointment with BreastScreen Queensland. She is actively involved in the training and education of surgical trainees, junior doctors and medical students. She is currently completing a Masters of Breast Surgery with the University of Sydney. Dr Gu offers treatment in breast surgery, thyroid and parathyroid surgery, general surgery (including laparoscopic procedures, hernias, gallbladders, skin cancer etc) and gastroscopy/colonoscopy

Dr Ramesh Iyer is a general surgeon attained fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) in 2008. His sub-specialty interest is Oncoplastic breast surgery and endocrine surgery. This involves Breast cancer surgeries, mastectomies, various mammoplasty techniques as part of breast cancer excisions, clinically indicated reduction mammoplasties with nipple repositioning (breast lift) and implant reconstruction post cancer surgery. He also performs endocrine procedures such as thyroidectomies and parathyroidectomies. He also has a broad range of general surgical practice performing laparoscopic hernia repairs, complex hernias needing component separation techniques, laparoscopic cholecystectomies, bowel surgeries, pilonidal sinus excision etc.

Omar is a General Surgeon at Ipswich General Hospital (IGH) and St Andrew’s Ipswich Private Hospital. Omar completed specialist surgical training in Queensland gaining Fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in February 2020. Omar has an interest in teaching, supervision and supporting healthcare and surgical trainees through their vocational journey.
